Prithvi is hardly the complex guy he is made out to be

Meghana Raj is back on the Mollywood scene after the long schedule of her second Kannada film, Raja Huli, kept her off the industry for a while.
M-Town will next see her as Prithviraj’s leading lady in Jeethu Joseph’s Memories.
The actress confesses that she joined the set after she stumbled upon a liberal dose of anti-Prithviraj stories. “Although I’ve teamed up with his elder brother, Indrajith, earlier, this was the first time I was working with Prithviraj.Little did I know that all the tales I heard about his ‘stargiri’ and attitude were ready to go for a toss,” says Meghana. “Prithvi is hardly the complex guy he’s made out to be. While I had my inhibitions about working with a star of his stature, he let me be myself, not in the least imposing his stardom on the set,” she states.
Ask her if she’s doing a balancing act between Sandalwood and Malayalam films now and Meghana says, “I chose to keep myself out of Sandalwood for some time because films there are mostly hero-centric; such films are hardly the type I’ve wanted to be a part of. Those lie here, in Mollywood. Be it my cop act in Banking Hours or the small yet prominent part I had in Red Wine, Mollywood gives me films I can boast of in my career.”
The actress, who has just signed a Kannada film, Bahuparaak, also adds, “While I’m going slow in Kannada, I ensure that whatever film I sign on doesn’t see me doing a repeat of any role I’ve done before.”
